This will be a future release, but there is currently no release date that we can provide. This information was last updated on Wednesday 17\/06\/2026.&nbsp;<\/div><div><br><\/div><div><b>What is Maintenance Mode?<\/b><\/div><div><br><\/div><div>Need to take a resource out of action? Now you can. Setting a resource to maintenance blocks new bookings instantly. It\u2019ll even give a heads-up to anyone who already had it booked so they can find an alternative resource. Head to <i><b>Settings &gt; Users &gt; Roles<\/b><\/i> and enable the following:<\/div><div><br><\/div><div><img src=\"..\/assets\/resources\/articles\/media-uploads\/media_69fdcb44636af.png\" style=\"max-width: 100%; width: 50%;\"><br><\/div><div>If you have multiple roles, you'll need to update each role accordingly.&nbsp;<\/div><div><br><\/div><div><b>Putting a Resource Into Maintenance<\/b><\/div><div><br><\/div><div>To put a resource into maintenance mode, head to <b><i>Bookings &gt; Maintenance<\/i><\/b>:<\/div><div><br><\/div><div><img src=\"..\/assets\/resources\/articles\/media-uploads\/media_69fdcce039744.png\" style=\"max-width: 100%; width: 50%;\"><\/div><div><br><\/div><div>And then select the green 'Add Maintenance' icon.<\/div><div><br><\/div><div><img src=\"..\/assets\/resources\/articles\/media-uploads\/media_6a3239b985236.png\" style=\"max-width: 100%;\"><\/div><div><br><\/div><div>Once you have selected the correct location, you can select multiple resources - these include rooms, desks and also parking. Once saved, this is logged in <i>Bookings &gt; Maintenance<\/i>. It's also displayed on the portal and you cannot book the resource. In this example, we've used a desk.<\/div><div><br><\/div><div>For example when you select the resource:<\/div><div><br><\/div><div><img src=\"..\/assets\/resources\/articles\/media-uploads\/media_6a323c2c7fe2b.png\" style=\"max-width: 100%;\"><br><\/div><div>And on the map on your dashboard:<\/div><div><br><\/div><div><img src=\"..\/assets\/resources\/articles\/media-uploads\/media_6a323cc659819.png\" style=\"max-width: 100%; width: 25%;\"><\/div><div><br><\/div><div><b>Cancel Maintenance<\/b><\/div><div><br><\/div><div>If the maintenance was completed before the scheduled time and the resource can be booked again, you can manually cancel it. Head back to <i>Bookings &gt; Maintenance <\/i>and hit the X:<\/div><div><br><\/div><div><img src=\"..\/assets\/resources\/articles\/media-uploads\/media_6a323dab8ab46.png\" style=\"max-width: 100%;\"><\/div><div>As you can see, previous maintenance is shown but greyed out so there is still a log.&nbsp;<\/div><div><br><\/div><div><b>Completed Maintenance<\/b><\/div><div><br><\/div><div>If the scheduled maintenance time passes, you do not need to take any action as GoBright automatically updates to show it's finished and the desk is now bookable again.<\/div><div><br><\/div><div><img src=\"..\/assets\/resources\/articles\/media-uploads\/media_6a32431135001.png\" style=\"max-width: 100%;\"><br><\/div><div><b>Remember: This is done on a per-role role basis and it needs to be enabled under <i>Settings &gt; Users &gt; Roles<\/i>. Background&nbsp;<\/b><\/div><div><br><\/div><div>In Q4 of 2025, GoBright launched a new routing feature for their mapping solution. This is for live directions to resources (rooms, desks, parking. lockers and spaces) on map viewers.<\/div><div><br><\/div><div><b>2. Testing<\/b><\/div><div><br><\/div><div>The tech team at Ascentae have worked alongside the GoBright team and tested this extensively, and we're impressed with the functionality. This is a great addition to the GoBright platform.<\/div><div><br><\/div><div><b>3. Commissioning<\/b><\/div><div><br><\/div><div>If you have purchased a commissioning package with us, we'll configure the portal remotely. However, there are some steps that on-site engineers will need to perform which cannot be carried out remotely. Please see sections 4 &amp; 5.<\/div><div><br><\/div><div><b>4. Important Info &amp; Key Points<\/b><\/div><div><br><\/div><div>Only V2 of the Map Viewer supports this functionality. If you're running V1, you'll need to switch.<\/div><div>The Map Viewer must support WebView (enabled in developer mode).<\/div><div><br><\/div><div>We'll guide you through this in the next section.<\/div><div><br><\/div><div><b>5. Enabling WebView &amp; V2<\/b><\/div><div><br><\/div><div><div>This is a simple procedure and needs to be carried out in the Android settings on the device. Let's walk you through the steps.<\/div><div><br><\/div><div>A) Close the GoBright application \u2014 instructions are <a href=\"https:\/\/support.gobright.com\/hc\/en-us\/articles\/360005420693-Close-the-GoBright-app-on-a-display\" target=\"_blank\"><b>here<\/b><\/a>.<\/div><div>B) Scroll down to the Application section and keep tapping Current Version until it says 'you're now a developer'.<\/div><div>C) On the same page, look for Developer Tools and select Browser. Change the browser to WebView. If it's stuck on loading, don't worry. Press settings and reboot the panel from the options menu.&nbsp;<\/div><div><br><\/div><div>Now that we've updated to WebView, let's flick the switch to the V2 of the map viewer.<\/div><div><br><\/div><div><b>Switching to V2<\/b><\/div><div><b><br><\/b><\/div><div><div>A) Log in to your GoBright portal <a href=\"https:\/\/portal.gobright.cloud\/login\/\" target=\"_blank\"><b>here<\/b><\/a>.<\/div><div>B) Head to Settings &gt; Devices &gt; Profiles. Look for the Map Viewer profile \u2014 this is clear as it will show as a Map Viewer Display in the Type column. Select this profile<\/div><div>C) Scroll down to the Map Viewer section and make sure the theme is set to Version 2. If the device is stuck on loading again after saving the changes, please reboot the unit.<\/div><div><br><\/div><div><b>The Mobile App<\/b><\/div><div><br><\/div><div><div>As of the 19th of January 2026, GoBright added their map routing solution on both Apple and Android devices that have their app installed.<\/div><div><br><\/div><div>The GoBright app is available for free on both platforms.
