GoBright Map Routing
Enabling Map Viewer Hardware For Map Routing - On Site Installation Instructions1. Background In Q4 of 2025, GoBright launched a new routing feature for their mapping solution. This is for live directions to resources (rooms, desks, parking. lockers and spaces) on map viewers.2. TestingThe tech team at Ascentae have worked alongside the GoBright team and tested this extensively, and we're impressed with the functionality. This is a great addition to the GoBright platform.3. CommissioningIf you have purchased a commissioning package with us, we'll configure the portal remotely. However, there are some steps that on-site engineers will need to perform which cannot be carried out remotely. Please see sections 4 & 5.4. Important Info & Key PointsOnly V2 of the Map Viewer supports this functionality. If you're running V1, you'll need to switch. The Map Viewer must support WebView (enabled in developer mode). We'll guide you through this in the next section.5. Enabling WebView & V2This is a simple procedure and needs to be carried out in the Android settings on the device. Let's walk you through the steps.A) Close the GoBright application — instructions are here.B) Scroll down to the Application section and keep tapping Current Version until it says 'you're now a developer'.C) On the same page, look for Developer Tools and select Browser. Change the browser to WebView. If it's stuck on loading, don't worry. Press settings and reboot the panel from the options menu. Now that we've updated to WebView, let's flick the switch to the V2 of the map viewer.Switching to V2A) Log in to your GoBright portal here.B) Head to Settings > Devices > Profiles. Look for the Map Viewer profile — this is clear as it will show as a Map Viewer Display in the Type column. Select this profileC) Scroll down to the Map Viewer section and make sure the theme is set to Version 2. If the device is stuck on loading again after saving the changes, please reboot the unit. The Mobile AppAs of the 19th of January 2026, GoBright added their map routing solution on both Apple and Android devices that have their app installed. The GoBright app is available for free on both platforms. Just check out the relevant store for your device.A live working example:

Dictate the summary of this article:
Your browser does not support the audio element.
Digital signage can now be displayed using a web browser. The Web Player is on a view-only basis, so you can't make config changes on the screen itself. To use the web player you need to open the url link within the same server tenant. For example, on your Dashboard:However, when you switch to View:It will switch to:As you can see, it has switched from UK1B to UK1S, but you never leave your GoBright portal. MAXHUB WB05 Wireless Dongle - Ensuring best performance
Dictate the summary of this article:
Your browser does not support the audio element.
Initial Configuration - Setting SSIDWhen configuring your MAXHUB host device (V-series screen or W70) for use with the WB05 wireless dongle, an SSID must be configured. By default, the SSID will populate with the device name you have entered during the initial setup. However, whilst the device name can contain punctuation, the SSID cannot. If the SSID contains punctuation, when you pair the dongle and attempt to use it on your computer, the dongle cannot connect to the host device. How to FixFollow these steps to resolve the issueExit from the home screen of the host device (if it is a W70, you need to break out of the MTR interface using admin credentials)Go to the Windows desktop and load 'Settings' appNavigate to 'Wireless Hotspot' menuEnsure 'Wireless Hotspot' is enabledChange 'Hotspot Name to remove any punctuationExit appReboot deviceOnce device has rebooted, insert the dongle into the USB port on the device to re-pair the dongleUsing the Wireless DongleThe effective range of the wireless dongle is 4m from the centre of the screen.Performance will be impacted at extreme range, Symptoms may includeLoss of connection between dongle and host deviceDelayed screen refreshLagging of video / audioLoss of sync between video and audioMaximum range can be impacted if the screen is recessed, the MTR is mounted behind a screen or the is no 'line of sight' between the host device and the dongle. If any of these issues occur, relocate the sharing computer and dongle closer to the host device.

Adding Ascentae Support to Your GoBright Portal
This will walk you through the steps to allow Ascentae Support access to your GoBright portal.
This is used by Ascentae to commission your project, or for ad-hoc assistance with a support ticket regarding an existing portal.
Please click on each section below to go through the steps.
1. Important Information
If Ascentae is commissioning your portal, permissions must be provided by an administrator from the end-users side in order for us to access your portal. You'll provide us with a temporary login.
Full admin rights must be permitted. We'll cover this later.
It is your responsibility to grant AND revoke Ascentae access to your portal.
2. Your GoBright login Information
Whoever signed the licensing agreement with GoBright will have received an email from sales@gobright.com with the initial admin login details.
This includes:
Email address
Password
Organisation code
Ascentae doesn't see your login information, so it's important you follow the next steps.
We will never ask for the original login information for your portal!
Let's get going...
3. Granting Ascentae Access
Log into your GoBright portal here and navigate to the Admin Centre. See step 2 for your credentials.
After you have logged into your GoBright account, head to the Admin Centre:
On the top navigation, head to the users section. Proceed to add a new user.
Please use the following information:
Name: Ascentae Support
Integration: None (do not integrate our account)
Email address: support@ascentae.com
Password: Manually enter a password or use the ‘Generate password' option and make a note of it
Phone number, NFC and Default cost centre should be ignored
All roles should be selected under the Meet-Work-Visit and View section
We recommend using the generate password field, to create a random strong password. After you've done this, copy it to the clipboard:
The final step on this page is the permissions (important), which is at the very bottom of the page. Please ensure step F above has been carried out.
Scroll back up to the top of the page after confirming all of the above is correct and hit save.
Looks like we're good to go. Let's move on to the next step.
4. Finding Your Org Code
To find your organisation code, head to Settings > General. This is the 2nd section on this page.
5. Submit Your Information
Email support@ascentae.com with the following information:
