Rooms can already be linked to a room resource email address in O365 - but now desks and parking can be configured in the same way too.Each desk / parking space needs to be linked to a resource email address in your O365 environment. For example:  Once the resources are configured, they need to be setup in GoBright.DesksOn the GoBright portal head to Settings > Work and select the relevant desk you need to update. You need to change 'no integration' to the relevant name of the Integration you have configured. ParkingThe same as the above applies for parking, but can be found under Settings > Park.Once Microsoft and GoBright have synced, you can book directly from Outlook.For example, you can book an office, desk and a parking space via Outlook at the same time:And this will update both your calendar and the calendar for the room(s).The update is pushed to the GoBright portal. The previous gateway models are the MGW211-DP24 and MGW211-DP28. This article is based on testing the AGW332-EU868 with firmware 1.0.0. We conducted these tests in August / September 2026.The GoBright Advanced Gateway is basically a solid piece of kit that hooks your devices upto the cloud. It makes sure all the data syncs perfectly and keeps your smart workplace online without any hiccups.Planning Your InstallationWhen figuring out where to put your gateway, keep an eye out for things that can block the signal—like thick concrete walls, metal objects, elevators, and stairs. If you hit any dead zones, just add a few extra Advanced Gateways to make sure the whole building gets solid coverage. Please see the planning and deployment guide here.The image to the left shows how the gateway looks once setup.The Small AntennaThis is used for Wi-Fi communication and both 2.4 GHz and 5GHz are now supported.The Large AntennaThis is used for any communication if LoRa sensors are being deployed.We've provided a step-by-step guide below to get you up and running. ⚠️You must be a administrator on the GoBright portal to ensure you can complete the following steps. The GoBright mobile app is required (Android or iOS) and it needs to be running the latest version.Power OptionsThe first step is to make sure that the toggle switch on the top of the gateway is toggled off of 'boot'.The gateway supports PoE+ at 30W. This is done through the ETH0 port. A 230v power supply is not included as standard and must be purchased seperately. Please speak to your Ascentae account manager when orderingOnce you've sorted power to the device, allow around 10 minutes for it to fully boot. During the boot process the LEDs will flash different patterns. At this stage, grab a brew and allow the device to boot and wait for the LEDs to slowly start blinking blue. This is a good sign as we're now in discovery mode, and the device is ready to commission. So, let's get cracking...Important Note: Discovery mode only remains active for up to 10 minutes after boot. Please reboot again if needed.Just a heads up...Configure The PresetIn your GoBright portal, head to Settings > Devices > Profiles and add a new profile name. Change the 'type' to 'Advanced gateway'. Hit save.Stay in the GoBright portal, and head to Settings > Devices > Commissioning Presets and then 'Add'. Change the Type to 'Advanced Gateway'. Give it a name, select the profile you've just set up, and enable the relevant connection settings. Save this page. This will then appear in the list under Settings > Devices > Profiles:As you can see, for testing purposes, we've called this 'Lee - Advanced Gateway'. At this stage, we recommend giving the device a suitable name - especially if deploying multiple devices across multiple floors.Now head to Settings > Devices > Commissioning Presets to locate your preset you just configured:Select the commissioning preset and ensure the connection details are correct. Both 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi networks are supported. Switch To The GoBright App⚠️Ensure that bluetooth is enabled on the device that you're using to commission the gatewayNow we need to switch to the GoBright app as the device has booted. Navigate to Settings → Admin Tools → GoBright Advanced Gateways (beta) → GoBright Advanced Gateways. Scan the QR code on the back of the gateway. Select the following option:On the next step, select the pre-configured commissioning profile that you setup. Give the gateway a name and complete all the required information. Once ready, press 'Commission Device'.Next, you will see the following screen:Select 'Done' and you can see the device under the 'GoBright Advanced Gateways' option on the app. Once commissioned, there should be 2 green solid lights on the gateway.On the web portal, head to Settings > Devices > Gateways to see your device. Here you can:See the firmware it's running and update it if requiredSerial numberConnection statusLocal IP addressSummaryNow you have an active Advanced Gateway configured and setup in your portal.The LED indicators should look like this once successfully activated and enabled in your GoBright portal.If you have any questions, please log a support ticket. GoBright is always deploying updates to their Interact hardware to improve its performance for the office workspace.Interacts can be used across your estate for both desk and room booking solutions.Height Adjustable DesksHeight adjustable desks are common in the modern workplace, giving employees the option to sit / stand to work. The current supported actuators are:LinakLogicData (DM) LogicData (CB)JiecangOMTLets look at the steps to get up and running.1) The profile for your Interact needs to be enabled for height adjustability. On your GoBright portal, head to Settings > Devices and select Profiles on the left-hand menu2) If there isn't a profile already set up for Interacts, add a new one. 3) Give the profile an appropriate name and change the Type to Interact from the drop-down4) Under the Device section, select the relevant requirement from the 3 options. Once you are happy with all the information, hit save5)  Select Interacts on the left-hand menu and select the relevant Interact to update. Under the Setup Settings you will find a Desk Actuator field. Update this to the actuator the desk uses, e.g. Linak. Complete all other relevant fields on this page according to the installation requirement (e.g. fixed on a desk, fixed under a desk)You may need to manually reboot the Interact for the changes to kick-in.

From the 6th of November 2024, it's now possible to add a buffer time for both before and after a meeting. This needs to be enabled in the profile that is linked to the room.You need to be an administrator to configure this option.1. Head to Settings > Rooms > Profiles and select the relevant profile you would like to update2. If you have more than one, select the profile that needs to be updated so that approval is required:3. Enter your desired times for before and after a meetingIf you try to book the room that violates the buffer, you will get the following error:Multiple email addresses can be added for notifications. The EMS2 desk sensor is a wireless LoRaWAN® sensor for indoor environments that measures desk occupancy. It can also measure temperature and humidity. The compact design makes it ideal for mounting under desks. As you're deploying these in your smart office in combination with the GoBright solution, please ensure you have the GoBright Advacned Gateway (AGW) installed. This article covers the AGW.Important: Batteries are not included. This product requires 1 x AA 3.6V lithium batteries. Standard 1.5V batteries are not supported and will not power the device.When using the recommended batteries, you can expect a battery life of up to 5 years, depending on usage.Checklist1. A smartphone with the GoBright app installed. This is available for free from both the Apple Store and the Google Play Store2. Full admin access rights for your GoBright account.  3. The GoBright advanced gateway (AGW) that has been configured and commissioned. We've put together a full guide of how to get up and running in this article.4. Bluetooth and NFC enabled on the smartphone.Installation RecommendationsEnsure the sensor has a clear line of sight to the member of staff sat at the desk.Place the sensor far enough back under the desk to avoid accidental damage. For optimal occupancy the sensor should be placed between 10 and 20cm from the edge of the desk. However, the sensor can detect occupancy of up to 50cm with a 60° field of view.Do not place the sensor near heat / cooling equipment such as under-desk heaters.Commissiong Steps1. Carefully remove the cover from the device and power it up with the AA 3.6V battery. The LED on the device will quickly flash red and green at the same time. The LED does not constantly stay on, but flashes every 30 seconds after that.2. Open the GoBright app on your phone and select the 3 grid lines in the corner and then Admin tools.3. Select LoRa Sensors and then Commission a Sensor. 4. The sensor vendor you need is Elsys.You will now see the following:5. Hold your phone to the rear of the sensor to retrieve the information. You'll then see the following screen:6. Link the sensor to the appropriate desk, room or parking space. 7. On the next page select Commission Sensor. It will then ask you to confirm the link, so hold your phone to the rear of the sensor again.8. All done! You will automatically be directed to to the following page (same as step 3). However, on this page, select 'LoRa Sensors'  and you will see the sensor that you've just commissioned:This is also shown in your GoBright portal under Settings > Devices > Sensors. You can update what room / desk / parking space the sensor is linked to easily in the GoBright portal or the app. The PortalNow you clearly see in the GoBright portal that the desk is showing as occupied (amber).And...Need Support?We're here to help.
